The house we rented is 1100 meters up, set on the side of one of the cliffs overlooking the Kanimbla Valley. Here's the view from the living room.

The owners had prepped the house well; fresh baked bread, milk, butter, fresh flowers, chocolates, classical music playing and a small Christmas tree complete with lights greeted us on entry. Plus a Christmas biscuit for the kids which was a nice touch. Unlike any where else we've stayed, there's no air con but lots of instructions as to how to put on the heat and how to light a fire. However its still a fine 22 deg inside, so no real need for any of it. Here's a quick tour:
Living room. It took Tom about 1 minute to locate the TV and ABC3, the kids channel.

During the unpack we discover the butcher hadn't put all the things we bought in the bag, meaning we're down 1 christmas lunch (big fat steaks). Bugger. I set off to score some more in the local village while Cait continues the unpack (more like an unravel now) and starts to attack the piles of washing we've built up.
One BBQ and several beers&wines later the kids are in bed (after writing a letter to Santa asking for the big presents to be left in Marlow, but any small ones to be left here) and we hit the hot tub to relax.
