Quick pack of one bag for our adventure, the rest of the gear stays with Roger and we head off for Hervey Bay. It's a 4 hour drive, so two hours in we stop at Noosa Heads for lunch. Along the way the countryside looks amazingly lush and green. Must be all that rain, it's been the wettest spring since records began.
Ummmmmm, Noosa. I couldn't work out if there was a beautiful person convention or a hot bikini contest on, but needless to say, I was a very happy man. The setting was stunning and I'm not just talking about the walking mannequins. Warm water, silky sand, heat but not too hot. A far cry from Christmas back home.
Here are the legal photos I took.

This is Cait's photo. Can't think why she took it. (very childish I know, but I didnt know that palm trees grew in this form...c.)

The only problem - I lost my gorgeous sunnies in the ocean trying to bodysurf. Doh! The water was splendidly warm with good breakers, but not worth my sunnies!
After 3 hours we had to head up north to Hervey Bay where Cait has pulled yet another fantastic location out of the bag. We have a massive motel style room set in tropical gardens. On the search for food, we end up in an Irish bar, Hoolihans. When we get back, the rest of the (m)hotel residents have grouped together for a communal BBQ around the pool. I guess we missed the invite :(
Bed early because we get picked up in a 4x4 at 6.50 on the dot for our 2 day excursion to Fraser Island.
